EFN Nectar Stimulation

The purpose of this experiment was to confirm that removing extrafloral nectar stimulated further production. It was conducted under glasshouse conditions. Species lists the species of Turnera. Code is an identifier to distinguish specific plants. EFNsugar_exp_per is the mass (mg sucrose equivalent) of extrafloral nectar collected per extrafloral nectary pair in the morning and afternoon from the experimental treatment (nectar removed morning + afternoon). EFNsugar_cont_per is the mass (mg sucrose equivalent) of extrafloral nectar collected per extrafloral nectary pair in the afternoon from the control treatment (nectar removed afternoon only).本实验旨在验证移除花外蜜（extrafloral nectar）可刺激其进一步分泌。实验于温室条件下开展。Species字段记录了特纳草属（Turnera）的物种信息。Code字段为区分单株植株的标识符。EFNsugar_exp_per字段表示实验处理组（于上午和下午均移除蜜液）中，每个花外蜜腺对在上午与下午采集的花外蜜的质量（以蔗糖当量毫克计）。EFNsugar_cont_per字段表示对照组（仅于下午移除蜜液）中，每个花外蜜腺对在下午采集的花外蜜的质量（以蔗糖当量毫克计）。
