资源简介:
This collection comprises site data from an archaeological evaluation and excavation undertaken by Oxford Archaeology on the site of a proposed housing development at Money Hill, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, between July and August 2020 and during October 2020 respectively. The evaluation consisted of 128 trenches, representing a 2% sample of the development area. Significant archaeology was identified in two trenches and the excavation uncovered a localized buried soil layer that contained a small quantity of worked flint, including a fragment from a Neolithic axe that had been reworked as a flake core, and part of two pit alignments (one a double alignment) that had previously been identified from cropmark evidence.
