Data for "Demographic trends from Species Distribution Models: how much can temporal projections tell us?"

The folder contains the following files: Occurrence_ points.Rdata: dataframe with the coordinates (EPSG: 3035) of the occurrence cells for the 137 bird species included in the study. Background_points.Rdata: dataframe with the coordinates (EPSG: 3035) and environmental variables of the background cells, selected with a bias grid, accounting for sampling effort. Env.rast_past.tif: raster with the environmental variables relative to the past (1990). Env.rast_pres.tif: raster with the environmental variables relative to the present (2020). Suitmaps: folder containing the rasters with past (1990) and present (2020) ecological suitability scores for each species. data_comparison.Rdata: data frame used for the comparison between the PECBMS trend and the suitabilty difference estimated by Species Distribution Models. Contains: species; beta and p-value of the PECBMS ~ year regression; Ecological Suitability Difference (ESD).
