资源简介:
This study aims to elucidate the intricate role of the spleen-liver immune axis in the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a progressive stage of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Recognizing the critical interaction between immunity and metabolism in NASH, the research focuses on the dynamic interplay between the spleen and liver, particularly in the context of immune cell-mediated inflammatory processes. Central to this investigation is the high-throughput small RNA sequencing of spleen tissues from primates afflicted with NASH. This approach aims to uncover the pivotal role of small non-coding RNAs, especially miRNAs, in modulating the spleen-liver communication and their potential impact on NASH development. The study's findings are anticipated to provide novel insights into the regulatory mechanisms of the spleen-liver axis in NASH, paving the way for innovative therapeutic strategies. This research holds significant importance due to the escalating global prevalence of NASH, its progression to severe liver conditions, and the current lack of effective pharmaceutical treatments.
