Two independent soils, each with low and high soil fertility levels, were used. High-abundance 13C-labeled rice straw amended microcosm experiments and DNA stable-isotope probing (DNA-SIP) based amplicon sequencing was conducted to reveal the taxonomic profiles of straw-degrading bacterial communities.
