Frankliniella occidentalis is a global invasive and polyphagous pest, which have caused great economic losses to crops and horticulture.In order to further study the polyphagous characteristics of Frankliniella occidentalis and the adaptive mechanism of F. occidentalis to induced resistant plants. The transcriptome RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) was carried out to analyze the differences of the first generation and the seventh generation of F. occidentalis adapted to different kinds of food, including bean pod, healthy kidney bean plants and the induced kidney bean plants by Tetranychus urticae infection. These results will lay a foundation for further study on the mechanism of feeding adaptation of F. occidentalis to different kinds of foods, and deepen the understanding of the competitive relationship between F. occidentalis and T. urticae, and providing a theoretical basis for the integrated pest management.
