EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVE THERAPY IN RHEUMATIC DISEASES

Abstract :The management of autoimmune rheumatic conditions relies heavily on targeted immunosuppression to limit joint and systemic damage. This study evaluates the clinical efficacy and long-term safety profile of conventional and biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) based on real-world multi-center data. Over a 12-month observation period involving pooled clinical cohorts, disease activity parameters (DAS28-ESR, SLEDAI-2K), laboratory biomarkers, and adverse event frequencies were systematically documented. The integration of biologic agents significantly improved clinical outcomes, achieving lower disease activity scores. However, vigilant monitoring remains crucial due to persistent risks of serious opportunistic infections and metabolic toxicity. (94 words)
