Data for: Accuracy of red cell distribution width and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio in detecting disease activity in Filipino adults with rheumatoid arthritis

Our study aimed to determine whether RDW and NLR correlated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease activity using DAS-28, and whether these can discriminate between active RA and inactive RA. Dataset 1: Raw data (demographic, clinical, and laboratory) of 134 Filipino adult patients with RA [.xlsx file]. This file features the RDW and NLR values used in the correlation and ROC curve analyses (against DAS-28 and ESR values). The CRP and DAS-28 CRP columns are empty, as none of the patients had test results for CRP (ESR is more widely available in our institution). Dataset 2: Analysis of data using Pearson's r and ROC curves with Stata SE v.12 [.docx file]. This file features tables depicting the r and p-values of correlation analyses between the parameters of interest (RDW and NLR) and DAS-28 ESR and serum ESR, as well as the detailed report of sensitivity and specificity of RDW and NLR for detecting RA disease activity.
