Expected share of online new vehicle sales in the United States by 2030

In 2022, U.S. car dealers were asked what percentage of new vehicle sales will be generated online by 2030. One-fourth of respondents stated that 20 to 30 percent of sales will be primarily online. Only 15 percent believed more than 50 percent of sales to be generated from online channels.
