Otani et al. (2026) – Crotalus durissus morphology, climate data, and R scripts

This repository contains the dataset and R scripts supporting the analyses presented in Otani et al. (2026), investigating spatial and climatic drivers of body size variation in Crotalus durissus across Brazil.The dataset includes:Crotalus_all_data.xlsx – Complete dataset containing morphological measurements (SVL, TL, HL, HW), geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), and associated variables used in statistical analyses.Crotalus_measurements.txt – Raw tab-delimited morphological and geographic data used for reproducibility and transparency.Crotalus_Otani_R_script.R – Fully annotated R script used for data processing, principal component analyses (morphological and climatic), spatial autocorrelation tests (Moran’s I), spatially controlled linear models, and sexual dimorphism analyses (MANOVA and ANOVAs).All analyses were conducted in R, and the script allows full reproduction of the results presented in the manuscript.Geographic coordinates are provided in decimal degrees (WGS84). Morphological measurements are in millimeters.
