Nutrient capital and trace element composition of mangrove forests and soils, Sawi Bay, Thailand

Measurements of nutrient partitioning, storage and flux in differently aged (3, 5 and 25 years) mangrove forests and soils of Rhizophora apiculata in Sawi Bay, southern Thailand.Samples were taken during the wet (October 1999) and dry (April 1999, 2000) monsoon seasons.Elemental analysis was carried out on 3 trees cut from each site: green leaves, live branches, stem and prop roots were each weighed. Soils and fine roots below ground had wet and dry weights measured. Soil and tree samples were further analysed for C, N, Fe, Mn, S, Na, Mg, K, Ca, P, Zn, Cr, Ni, Cu, Co, Pb, Mo, Cd, Hg and As.

本数据集针对泰国南部萨维湾（Sawi Bay）不同林龄（3年、5年和25年）的尖叶红树（Rhizophora apiculata）林及其土壤，开展养分分配、储存与通量测定。
样品采集于湿季（1999年10月）与旱季（1999年4月、2000年4月）季风时段。
对每个样地砍伐的3株树木开展元素分析：分别称量其鲜叶、活枝、树干与支柱根的鲜重；同时测定地下土壤与细根的鲜重与干重。
此外，对土壤及树木样品进行碳（C）、氮（N）、铁（Fe）、锰（Mn）、硫（S）、钠（Na）、镁（Mg）、钾（K）、钙（Ca）、磷（P）、锌（Zn）、铬（Cr）、镍（Ni）、铜（Cu）、钴（Co）、铅（Pb）、钼（Mo）、镉（Cd）、汞（Hg）及砷（As）的含量分析。
本研究旨在探究泰国南部不同林龄红树林潮间带生境的孔隙水与土壤中的养分及微量元素。
