Mycobacterium tuberculosis biovar. bovis strain Ravenel and strain 10-7428 genomes

This work involved paired-end Illumina whole genome sequencing of two Mycobacterium tuberculosis biovar bovis isolates: Ravenel, a strain from the early 1900s passaged through rabbits and showing attenuated virulence in cattle, and strain 10-7428, a more recent and fully pathogenic isolate from a cow in the United States. Isolates provided by NVSL. Culturing and DNA extraction performed at MSU. Sequencing, QC, and adapter trimming performed commercially by Novogene.
