The study assessed the water quality and trophic state of Laguna de San Martín (Ecuador) at six stations during summer and winter. Physicochemical and biological data, along with indices (NSF, OWQI, CCME, TSI, TRIX), revealed a chronic hypereutrophic state, characterized by high biological productivity and severe degradation during the summer months. Water quality ranged from average to very poor depending on the index used. A dynamic nutrient limitation was identified: nitrogen was the limiting factor in 55.6% of cases and phosphorus in 44.4%. This information serves as a baseline for ecological models and nutrient management strategies.
本研究于夏季与冬季期间,在6个采样站点对厄瓜多尔圣马丁湖的水质与营养状态展开评估。通过理化与生物数据及多项指数(NSF、OWQI、CCME、TSI、TRIX)的分析,结果显示该湖长期处于超富营养化状态,夏季呈现出高生物生产力与严重的水质退化特征。依据所选用指数的不同,水质等级介于中等至极差之间。研究还探明了动态营养限制模式:55.6%的案例中氮为限制性因子,44.4%的案例中磷为限制性因子。本研究结果可为生态模型构建与营养盐管理策略制定提供基准依据。
