Individual-level raw data on chicken meat quality, carcass traits and breast muscle myopathies under different extensification strategies

This dataset contains individual-level raw data from two experiments investigating the effects of extensification strategies on chicken meat quality. The study was conducted on 180 Ross 308 chickens assigned to six experimental groups differing in stocking density, access to perches, and access to dried lucerne. The dataset includes physicochemical and textural characteristics of fresh and frozen/thawed Pectoralis major muscle, proximate composition, and breast muscle myopathy scores. Detailed descriptions of variables, units, and coding are provided in the LEGEND worksheet.
