In this exploratory study, we investigated the unique value of youth work for young people in specialised youth-care programmes. Interviews were conducted with: 1) 7 young people (16 years of age and older) who were receiving specialised youth-care services and participating in youth-work settings; 2) 7 youth workers and 3) 6 professionals working in specialised youth-care services. Interviews are coded using MaxQda.
