Supplementary Data and Code for MioMIP2 Experimental Design Paper

This repository houses the boundary condition files required to perform the Miocene Model Intercomparision Project 2 (MioMIP2) Phase 2 climate model experiments described in Burls et al. 2026. The MioMIP2 experiments are outlined in Tables 1 & 2 of Burls et al. (2026). A simplied version of Table 2 is provided below summerizing the MioMIP2 Phase 2 experiments and associated MioMIP2 Phase 2 boundary conition files that have been deposited in this repository. Additionally, this repository houses a zip file, "deepmip-mio-mco-p2-paleogeography-main.zip", containing the code used to create the boundary condition files, make the figures, and a notebook for calculating the paleo-coordinates of modern sites using the plate tectonic models associated with the Phase 1 & Phase 2 paleogeographies.
