Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Twyford, Melton, Leicestershire, August 2024

This collection comprises image, text, spreadsheet and GIS Data from an archaeological evaluation at Twyford, Melton, Leicestershire. The work was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology in August 2024. A total of 71 trial trenches were excavated and eight of the excavated trial trenches contained archaeological features that were investigated, while a further 15 trenches contained furrows that were recorded by survey only. The excavated archaeological features comprised six furrows, a pit/ditch and a ditch. Dated material included Middle to Late Iron Age pottery and pottery/ceramic material from the medieval and post-medieval periods.
