The IVBee 1.0 dataset was collected in an in-vitro measurement experiment of honey bee sounds at Wrocław University of Science and Technology Acoustic Chamber. The set contains 226 recordings of Apis mellifera carnica honey bee buzz events from nine honey bee specimens in total, three of which were Drone bees and five of which were Worker bees. Recordings were made using a Svantek Svan 977A analyzer, a GRAS 26HF low-noise 1" microphone and a GRAS 14HF power supply and signal conditioner. The signals were perceptually grouped into variable and stable categories, providing a four-class caegorisation. The recorded files are stored as 24-bit .wav.
