This dataset contains subnational rainfall metrics for Algeria, calculated and aggregated to subnational administrative units using Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS) Version 2 and CHIRPS-GEFS short-term rainfall forecasts. The dataset includes multiple rainfall metrics, such as 10-day cumulative rainfall, 1-month and 3-month rolling aggregated rainfall, long-term average rainfall, and their corresponding anomalies, among others. The observational unit of the dataset is time-series observations, with a geographic coverage of Algeria (DZA). This dataset was published by the World Food Programme (WFP) and formatted into machine-learning-ready Parquet files by Electric Sheep Africa.
