Wastewater treatment process reveals a successful removal of potential pathogenic bacteria and endocrine disrupting compounds in the poultry wastewater treatment facility

The main objective of this research was to evaluate the treatment performance of the two types of wastewater treatment procedures and provide insight into the fate of bacterial pathogens and endocrine disrupting chemicals from the poultry wastewater. Overall, the study's findings may be used to support the management of poultry wastewater treatment by employing functional bacteria as a substitute method for the detoxification of various chemical and biological pollutants found in the environment. Additionally, regulating the microbial community in a wastewater treatment plant to produce desired functional traits can improve the effectiveness of eliminating pathogens, phenolic compounds, and estradiol, among other target pollutants.
