Strategic Scenario-Based Modeling for Electric Bus Charging Station Deployment in Addis Ababa

This dataset is part of the Addis Ababa University case study of the Open Modelling Toolbox for Africa (OpenMod4Africa) and supports the analysis of electric bus electrification and charging infrastructure in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The dataset contains the input data, processed data, and Python scripts used in the study “Strategic Scenario-Based Modeling for Electric Bus Charging Station Deployment in Addis Ababa.” The analysis uses soft-linking of the EV-Fleet-Sim and GTFS4EV modelling framework The repository includes: Public transport and GTFS-based data for Addis Ababa; Input and configuration files for EV-Fleet-Sim; Processed data generated through the GTFS4EV_EV-Fleet-Sim modelling workflow; and Python scripts used for the simulation and Scenario analysis. The dataset is intended to support reproducible, scenario-based assessment of electric bus energy demand and charging strategies. It can be used for further research on electric public transport and charging infrastructure planning in Addis Ababa and other African cities.
