Enrichment of proteins in purified Saccharomyces cerevisiae vacuoles relative to a whole cell extract.

The project sought to test the localization of several proteins that were suspected to be in vacuoles. To this end, the proteomes of whole cells and of a purified vacuolar fraction were quantified to estimate the enrichment factors of established vacuolar markers and compare them to the enrichment of the proteins of interest.
