Rehabilitation of Mid Georges River - Bush Regeneration Programme: Stage 2

Rehabilitation of council selected and council controlled public land and waterway riparian zones within Fairfield, Bankstown and Hurstville. Works will be conducted in the Prospect Creek sub catchment and on the eastern side of the Georges River from Chipping Norton Lakes to the Como Railway Bridge between Oatley and Como. The primary activities will be bush regeneration through weed treatment, natural regeneration and revegetation as well as litter and rubbish removal. Other activities will include track work to ensure safe public access and to reduce environmental degradation due to inappropriate land use.

针对费尔菲尔德（Fairfield）、班克斯敦（Bankstown）与赫斯特维尔（Hurstville）范围内，经议会遴选并由议会管控的公共土地及河道滨水带实施修复整治工程。本次工程作业区域涵盖普罗斯佩克特溪（Prospect Creek）子汇水区，以及乔治河（Georges River）东岸段——从奇平诺顿湖（Chipping Norton Lakes）延伸至奥特利（Oatley）与科莫（Como）之间的科莫铁路桥（Como Railway Bridge）沿线。核心工作内容包括通过杂草治理、自然更新与植被恢复开展灌丛修复，同时进行垃圾杂物清理清运。其余工作包含步道修缮作业，旨在保障公众通行安全，并降低因不当土地利用造成的环境退化。
