Aim of the study is to explore genetic diversity and population structure of Melanargia galathea butterflies in Switzerland at current time and in the past. Therefore fresh samples from 2023 (all RAD sequenced) and historical DNA from 1875-1955 (all whole-genome sequenced) are used.
