The 2016 National Survey involved 1,500 adults (aged 18 years and over), stratified by State/Territory and capital city / non-capital city. This report discusses the methodology of the National survey only. A dual-frame sample methodology was used involving two separate sample frames; one drawn from randomly generated (RDD) landline telephone numbers and a second drawn from randomly generated mobile phone numbers. The study covered a variety of topics, including economic conditions, political participation, socio-cultural attitudes, discrimination, local communities, and voluntary work.
