Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of autochthonous isolates of Hanseniaspora from open agave fermentations

In this study, we sequenced the genomes of 15 Hanseniaspora strains isolated from traditional agave distilleries across four Mexican states. Among these strains, nine were identified as H. lachancei, three as H. pseudoguilliermondii, two as H. guilliermondii, and one as H. opuntiae.
