Model output for Dutkiewicz et al (GCB, 2021) Each file has output for separate experiment. The naming convention is as described in Dutkiewicz et al (2021), and as listed at the end of this description. Each file contains annual mean depth integrated Primary Production (gC/m2/year) Export Flux through 100m (gC/m2/year), Herbivorous Grazing rate (gC/m2/year), Nitration Fixation rates (umolN/m2/d) and the depth integrated carbon biomass of each of the 51 plankton types. For example, the experiment where the smallest pico-phytoplankton is eliminated is labelled EXP_P1, and for the second smallest diatoms being eliminated: EXP_T2. Partial Elimination Experiments: In these experiments, instead of eliminating types, instead their maximum growth rate was reduced by a fraction. The experiments are labelled PEXP_XY_pZ, where XY are as above, and Z indicates the fraction the growth rate was reduced. For example PEXP_P1_p7 is the experiment where the smallest pico-phytoplankton growth rate was reduced by 0.7 (i.e. 30% reduced). Experiments were done for three types only: smallest pico-phytoplankton (P1), largest diazotroph (Z5), and smallest diatom (T1). DIfferent Parameterization of Trichodesmium Experiments: See the supplemental material of Dutkiewicz et al (in press) for description of experiments. TEXP_0 is the default experiments with the different parameterzation. TEXP_P1 and TEXP_Z5 are repeats of the Full Elimination experiment (with same naming convention) with this different parameterization.
