PD Toens and Associates were requested in 1992 by the Administration: House of Representatives and the National Parks Board to evaluate and develop the groundwater resources of the Richtersveld National Park.
A hydreological investigation, incorporating the compilation of geological maps and geophysical exploration resultes in the drilling of seven boreholes
Four of the seven boreholes intersected water with water quality(EC) varying from 325mS/m to 640mS/m. A number of target areas for water extraction still exist and these coud be developed, should it deemed necessary
