资源简介:
During the spring, tidal cracks at the shoreline in landfast ice expand and widen, reducing the strength of attachment to the shore. This dataset includes repetitive high resolution unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) imagery of the northeastern shore of Admiralty Inlet between May 22 and June 14, 2023. These images were used to examine how nearshore sea ice properties have changed throughout the melt season in Admiralty Inlet. This dataset was developed as part of a larger project to establish observational systems for weather, current, and sinaa (lead) monitoring to complement Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ; Inuit knowledge and ways of knowing) and support real-time decision making for safe spring ice travel in the communities of Ikpiarjuk (Arctic Bay) and Mittimatalik (Pond Inlet), Nunavut.
