Human–Tiger Interactions in Tadoba Buffer Zone, 2024–2025

The dataset underpins the manuscript “Living with Tigers: Perceptions of Risk, Equity, and Cultural Change Amidst Tiger Attacks in a Reserve’s Buffer Zone” submitted to People and Nature. It contains anonymized interview data and metadata from a mixed-methods study on human–tiger interactions conducted in villages within the buffer zone of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, India, between November 2024 and April 2025. The data include household demographic characteristics, livelihood information, and perceptions of risk, cultural practices (including Waghoba worship), and experiences of tiger attacks. All personal identifiers have been removed to ensure confidentiality.
