Here, we present the dataset associated with the article “Variations in the rhodoxanthin index and canopy photosynthetic capacity of a temperate Japanese cypress forest during winter leaf reddening” submitted to the AGU journal “JGR Biogeosciences” by the same authors. The data are the environmental factor (photosynthetically active radiation and air temperatures), canopy-scale light-use efficiency and gross primary production, and vegetation indexes (RGVI and RI) recorded in Kiryu Experimental Watershed(KEW, Asiaflux registered site) from June 2017 to May 2021.
