Sequencing of nine Xanthomonas strains pathogenic on common bean

Xanthomonas citri pv. fuscans (Xcf) and Xanthomonas phaseoli pv. phaseoli (Xpp) are the agents responsible for common bacterial blight of bean. This seed-borne disease is worldwide distributed and is responsible for serious economic damages to the bean production. We provided genomes sequenced by single molecule real time (SMRT) sequencing for nine Xcf and Xpp strains. Causal agents of common bacterial blight are phylogenetically diverse and these genomes will help to gain more informations on the determinants of host adaptation.
