CoMPAS GI Histopathology Part 2-2

The Syed lab is conducting an NIH-funded study that is establishing and using a dataset of archival clinical histopathology images and patient data obtained from Duke clinical archives (the Duke BioRepository and Precision Pathology center; BRPC). These archival records were obtained through the DUHS IRB Pro00117942 and under waiver of consent. We are seeking to make our dataset of de-identified histopathology slides and metadata open access, per NIH guidelines. Slides were digitized and de-identified by the Duke BRPC, with end storage currently in the Duke T drive. Metadata was collected in a Duke REDCap database, stored in PRCC, de-identified by a PRCC honest broker, and subsequently stored in the same T drive as the images. The dataset will be approximately 500 GB of images (~550 images total) and a marginal amount of additional metadata, stored in the form of an excel sheet or .csv file. The BRPC will finalize the image preparation in mid-July, at which time we would like to make open access in advance of a manuscript being prepared. No associated software or code will be uploaded, just the dataset for open access compliance.
