Porphyrins (Pors) and phthalocyanines (Pcs), are typical molecules and their derivative structures play a vital role in the catalytic cycle in organisms. Inspired by this point, Pors and Pcs were found to have promising activity on various catalysis, such as the small molecular transformation and organic synthesis. But Pors and Pcs as molecular catalysts still suffer solubility and aggregation issues owing to the high conjugated structures. To solve those problems, assembling Pors and Pcs into the framework is one of the most promising strategies. Regular frameworks have well-defined building units which bridge up the boundary between organic chemistry and materials.
