IODP Expedition 390 Bathymetry

The Knudsen CHIRP 3260 is the primary sub-bottom profiler and bathymetric echosounder used on the JOIDES Resolution starting on Transit 396T (October 2021). The system utilizes 3.5 kHz and 12 kHz frequency transducers housed in the ship's forward sonar dome. The system is controlled via the SounderSuite software package which consists of the EchoControl Server to interface directly with the echosounder hardware and peripheral devices, and the EchoControl Client to provide the primary user interface for echogram visualization.
