资源简介:
Honey bees (Apis mellifera) are essential pollinators for agriculture and biodiversity, but their health is increasingly threatened by pathogens, parasites, and environmental stressors. This project investigates the bacterial microbiomes associated with three key components of the honey bee ecosystem: (i) the gut of worker bees, (ii) bee-collected pollen, and (iii) the parasitic mite Varroa destructor. Using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing and advanced bioinformatic tools, we aim to compare the microbial diversity and composition across these niches, identify core and unique taxa, and explore potential microbial transmission routes between bees, pollen, and parasites. The results of this study will deepen our understanding of microbial interactions within the hive environment and may contribute to the development of microbiome-based strategies to support honey bee health and resilience.
