Overexpression of Panax ginseng MYB4 gene enhances stress resistance in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana.

In this study, we constructed a Panax ginseng MYB4 (PgMYB4) gene expression vector and established a stable transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis) line to study the effects of this gene on plant stress resistance.Our findings indicate that PgMYB4 can increase the resistance of plants to drought, salt, and freezing stresses. This gene may be useful for ginseng breeding programs aiming to develop new varieties with enhanced stress resistance.
