The UV absorption cross sections of atmospheric gases database or
UV-BANK contains ultraviolet (UV) absorption cross-section data at
different temperatures for 77 atmospheric trace gases and
radicals. UV-BANK gives the researcher the ability to calculate
ultraviolet spectral absorption and transparency for the constituents
and their mixtures. UV-BANK can assist users in developing remote
sensing techniques that require quantitative UV absorption
spectra. The data base is indexed by the trace gas, its temperature
(in degrees K) at which cross sections have been measured, spectral
region, and resolution (in nm).
The UV-BANK software allows browsing, both in graphic or tabular
modes, of the spectral absorption cross-sections, calculation of UV
spectral absorption and transparency. The software includes an on-line
help system and was designed using Common User Access standards.
The UV-BANK software and database is available commercially from
Eridan-1 Ltd. The UV-BANK software is freely available from:
http://www.eridan.mega.ru/uvbank/
