Thermal-Visual Paired Dataset

This dataset, named Thermal-Visual Paired Dataset, was developed by the Computer Vision and Biometrics Laboratory of the Indian Institute of Information Technology. It includes five categories: humans, modern infrastructure, animals, vegetation, and crowds, covering multiple scenarios such as Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, and was collected over a two-year period. The dataset was acquired using two thermal imaging devices, FLIR E40 and Sonel KT400, with the aim of addressing the challenges of thermal-optical image registration, especially those involving image resolution and sensor cost. Featuring a wide range of application fields including image processing, object detection and image fusion, this dataset serves as a valuable resource for solving image registration problems in complex environments.
