Biodiversity monitoring in Brunswick Valley Heritage Park Mullumbimby

Brunswick Valley Heritage Park began to be planted in the 1980s by Russ and Beryl Maslen. At the time a grassy paddock along the Brunswick River it is now (2016) a young forest of trees, vines and other plants, wildlife and fungi. Two nest boxes were installed recently. Approximately 30 fungi have been observed but no one is very sure of what we have. The monitoring project, of all species, will help discover hidden treasures.

布伦瑞克谷遗产公园（Brunswick Valley Heritage Park）于20世纪80年代由拉斯·马斯伦和贝丽尔·马斯伦发起营建。该园区最初仅为布伦瑞克河（Brunswick River）沿岸一片遍布青草的围场，截至2016年，已发展为一片包含乔木、藤本植物及其他植被、野生动物与真菌的幼龄林。近期园区内安装了两处野生动物巢箱。目前已观测到约30种真菌，但尚未能精准确认所有物种的种类。针对园区所有物种的监测项目，将助力发掘更多隐匿于此的自然珍宝。
