Open Masala — Ancestry-Adjusted Health Reference Ranges

The open, machine-readable, cited dataset of South Asian biomarker reference ranges and screening thresholds. South-Asian-specific cutoffs (WHO Asian BMI, IDF waist, earlier diabetes and coronary-calcium screening, Lp(a) prompts) exist across guideline PDFs and hundreds of papers but have never been assembled into one structured, cited table. This dataset does that: each row is LOINC-coded, evidence-graded, provenance-tiered, and linked to its source guideline or study, and pairs the South Asian value with the general-population value it replaces. Ships as canonical JSON, flat CSV, and a FHIR R4 Bundle of ObservationDefinition resources. A curation and synthesis of published sources — not a primary-data release, and not a medical device.
