Version 2 of the data and supplementary material for "DNA metabarcoding for ruminant diet identification: a systematic review of its readiness as a molecular ground-truth layer in precision livestock farming". Updated 4 November 2026 after verification and correction of 130 extracted values (see Supplementary Table S11 and the amendment log in OSF, DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/YX6MA). Contains: Supplementary Material (Tables S1-S13) and the Data workbook (extracted data, appraisal judgements and readiness classification of the 95 included studies; codebook with the coding rules). Replaces version 1. The review was registered retrospectively on the Open Science Framework (OSF) using the Generalized Systematic Review Registration template and follows PRISMA 2020. Searches were run on Scopus (2 September 2026) and PubMed (27 September 2026). Version 1 of this record contained Supplementary Tables S1-S8 only.
