资源简介:
This study examines the effect of in-person schooling on emotional problems and sub-jective well-being among primary school students in South Korea. By leveraging ad-ministrative data on in-person school days and longitudinal survey data, we find thatincreased in-person schooling days significantly reduce emotional problems, includ-ing aggression, social withdrawal, depression, and psychosomatic symptoms, whileimproving self-reported health. Furthermore, we show that the reductions in emo-tional problems persist over the longer term. Our findings suggest that improved in-terpersonal relationships and healthier time use may serve as potential mechanismsdriving these effects, providing insights for policymakers aiming to mitigate the neg-ative effects of school closures.
