VPRS 11463 Overseas Programs Files

This series of records is a small portion of the files that were received from the Overseas Programs Unit. The majority of files were FAACTS files and have been culled and serialised with all the other FAACTS files (VPRS 11445) from the Department.These files deal with the Departments involvement in international education matters. Most of the material relates to exchange programs of both teachers and students between Australia and overseas countries, and also with study tours made by teachers and other Departmental delegations. The minutes of various Departmental committees on teacher and student exchanges reflect this function.Included in the series is material on a Ministerial review of full-fee paying overseas students and the subsequent submission to Cabinet of legislation drafted as a result of the review.
