Grantee ZIP codes, award amounts, and topics of study for NSF Division of Environmental Biology grants from 2004 to 2008

This data includes the ZIP code of the principal investigator and award amount for all grants awarded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Environmental Biology (DEB) for the years 2004 to 2008. For the 2008 awards, the data also includes a score indicating whether or not the grant could be classified into any one of 21 topical categories. This data was compiled to map an index of the spatial distribution of ecologists’ funding throughout the United States.本数据集收录了2004至2008年间，经由美国国家科学基金会（National Science Foundation，NSF）环境生物学部（Division of Environmental Biology，DEB）获批的全部科研资助项目的主要研究者邮政编码与资助金额。针对2008年度的资助项目，本数据集额外包含一项评分，用于判断该项目是否可划归至21个主题分类中的任意一类。本数据集的编制目标为绘制全美范围内生态学家科研资助的空间分布指数图谱。
