Genomic DNA sequencing analysis of an ice wedge isolate, Tomitella biformata AHU 1821 was demonstrated. Since this bacterium survived for long time in ice wedge (permafrost), genetic and functional analysis of the dormancy and resuscitation helps to understand the surviving mechanism of bacteria in the natural environment.
