Leaflets of 26 accessions of species from subfamily Tribuloideae (Zygophyllaceae), using herbarium material, were sectioned after chemical fixation and embedding. For each section, the area of the mesophyll (M) tissue, bundle sheath (BS) tissue, and vascular tissue were measured, as well as the BS area, BS distance, and interveinal distance. The ratio of BS to M areas was also calculated. With a molecular phylogeny as a guide, these leaf anatomical traits, which are typically altered during the evolution of C4 photosynthesis, were further investigated. The timespan is 2017-04-01 to 2018-04-30.
以标本馆馆藏的蒺藜科(Zygophyllaceae)蒺藜亚科(Tribuloideae)26个物种居群的小叶片为实验材料,经化学固定与包埋后制作切片。针对每一张切片,分别测定叶肉(mesophyll,简称M)组织、维管束鞘(bundle sheath,简称BS)组织与维管组织的面积,同时记录维管束鞘面积、维管束鞘间距及脉间距离,并计算维管束鞘与叶肉的面积比值。以分子系统发育(molecular phylogeny)为研究参照,对这类通常在C4光合作用(C4 photosynthesis)演化过程中发生改变的叶片解剖性状展开了进一步探究。本实验的时间跨度为2017年4月1日至2018年4月30日。
