Gene expression of Cell populations sorted from exocrine cells reprogrammed to beta-like cells

Bulk MARS-seq analysis of gene expression in reprogrammed exocrine cells exhibit many similarities to native beta cells. Reprogrammed cells are enriched for expression of genes that are direct targets of the transcriptional repressor REST. Overall design: Primary exocrine cells were isolated from MIP-GFP mice and infected with Ad-M3-mCherry virus or Ad-mCherry control virus. Cell populations were FACS sorted according to mChery and GFP expression. Additionaly, GFP positive beta cells were sorted from islets of MIP-GFP mice. RNA from 4 biological replicates of these samples was used for library construction using Bulk MARS-seq protocol and sequenced.
