RNA sequencing analysis of therapeutic mechanisms of atrial fibrillation treated with colchicine in rat model

RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) generates extensive transcriptome information providing the capability to characterize transcripts (including alternative isoforms and polymorphism), to quantify expression and to identify differential regulation in a single experiment. Colchicine, in recent years, found that played an important therapeutic role in heart vascular disease, and reported by the top journals in cardiovascular, especially in the therapeutic effect of atrial fibrillation. The therapeutic mechanism of colchicine has not been elucidated yet from prospective of genomics and bioinformatics. To reveal the therapeutic mechanism of colchicine in atrial fibrillation in modulating the expression of genes, datasets were generated and validated using RNA-seq approach. This comprehensive dataset will be useful to deepen the comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic mechanism of colchicine in atrial fibrillation, providing an opportunity to generate new therapies, diagnoses, and preventive strategies.
