资源简介:
The Granite Harbour Intrusives of Southern Victoria Land are comprised of a range of dominantly silica oversaturated rocks. Saturated and undersaturated intrusions are also present but are subordinate to the granitoids. With detailed field relationships, sampling and follow up geochemical work in the Pipecleaner Glacier region and Miers Valley, it is hoped that the interrelationships and origin of a range of these basement rocks can be determined. Detailed mapping and sampling was carried out in the the Dismal, Radian and Panorama ridges near the Pipecleaner Glacier. The relationship between the various mafic and granitic intrusions was investigated on the ridge of the north side of the Miers Valley consisting of detailed mapping and sampling. Samples were analysed by whole rock X-ray fluorescence analyses for major and trace elements.
